Warangal (Urban), May 16: Dr Valapadasu Chandrasekhar has been appointed as the superintendent of MGM Hospital in Warangal on Sunday. Director of medical education, Dr Ramesh Reddy, issued orders to this effect on Saturday midnight. He will replace Dr Nagarjuna Reddy who was the superintendent since August 5, 2020.
Dr Chandrasekhar previously served as the principal of the Kakatiya Medical College. He was placed in charge of the Covid ward at the MGM Hospital during the initial outbreak of the Coronavirus bread and was also the head of general medicine.
Sources report that the state government took the decision to delegate the responsibility of the MGM Hospital to Dr Chandrasekhar in its efforts to improve services and overall functioning of the hospital.
